This 4th of July Snack Mix is the perfect no-bake treat to make for Independence Day or any other patriotic holiday! It comes together in just 15 minutes, can be made in advance and is the best mash-up between salty and sweet. This delicious snack mix is full of white chocolate-covered Chex cereal, Cheerios, pretzels and plenty of red, white and blue M&Ms!

Ingredient Breakdown

M&Ms – I used red, white and blue M&Ms to keep this snack mix on theme for 4th of July.

Pretzel twists – adds some saltiness to the snack mix! You can also use pretzel sticks.

Chex cereal – I used Rice Chex Cereal but you can use whichever flavor you prefer!

Cheerios – I used plain Cheerios since the M&Ms and white chocolate already add a lot of sweetness, but you can use whichever flavor you prefer!

White chocolate – holds everything together and adds sweetness. I love this brand.

Red, white and blue sprinkles – optional but adds a fun patriotic pop of color to the this snack mix! I used these.

Pro Tips For 4th of July Snack Mix

  • Weigh your ingredients using a kitchen scale! Measuring ingredients by volume is not accurate.
  • Work quickly once the chocolate has melted to ensure that it doesn’t harden before you coat your mixture.
  • Use high quality white chocolate! It will taste better and be easier to melt. I recommend Callebaut or Ghirardelli.
