INGREDIENTS

- All-purpose flour - Granulated sugar - Salt - Butter - Buttermilk - Raspberry preserves - Egg - Milk - Confectioners' sugar

STEP 1

In a mixing bowl combine all-purpose flour, sugar and salt. Place bowl on a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.

STEP 2

Add the cold cubed butter to the mixing bowl then mix on low until the butter is pea sized.

STEP 3

Add half of the buttermilk to the mixture and begin to mix on low speed then gradually add the rest of the buttermilk. Stop mixing when the dough is rough and shaggy.

STEP 4

Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface then divide in half and shape into 2 discs. Wrap each in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour or up to 3 days.

STEP 6

Roll out pie dough to 1/4 inch thick then cut out flowers. Place onto a baking sheet then scoop 1/2 tbsp of raspberry preserves in the center of each one.

STEP 7

Brush the edges of dough with an egg wash then place another flower on top. Crimp edges with a fork to seal. Bake until golden brown and enjoy!
