- All-purpose flour - Baking powder - Baking soda - Salt - Butter - Granulated sugar - Vegetable oil - Eggs - Vanilla extract - Maple extract - Buttermilk

- Butter - Confectioners' sugar - Maple syrup - Vanilla extract - Maple extract - Salt

STEP 1

In a small bowl combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.

STEP 2

Cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy then add the vegetable oil. Mix in the eggs one at a time then add the vanilla/maple extracts.

STEP 3

Fold in half of the dry ingredients then add all of the buttermilk. Fold in the remaining half of the dry ingredients until just combined.

STEP 4

Scoop cupcake batter then bake. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before decorating with maple buttercream.
