DOUGH INGREDIENTS

- Buttermilk - Granulated sugar - Instant yeast - Butter - Egg - Egg yolk - Salt - All-purpose flour

- Granulated sugar - Lemon zest - Egg yolks - Lemon juice - Butter

ICING INGREDIENTS

- Butter - Cream cheese - Confectioners' sugar - Milk - Vanilla extract - Salt

STEP 1

Mix the buttermilk and sugar in a mixing bowl then sprinkle yeast on top. In a separate bowl mix the butter, egg, egg yolk and salt then whisk into the yeast mixture.

STEP 3

Place bowl on a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook then add about 1/2 cup of flour. Mix on low speed until mostly combined then repeat until all the flour is gone.

STEP 4

Knead dough for an additional 5 minutes. Transfer to a large greased bowl then cover and allow to rise in a warm place for an hour or until doubled in size.

STEP 5

Roll dough into a rectangle then spread with lemon curd. Roll it towards you then cut 12 even rolls. Place in a 9×13 pan then cover and allow to rise until doubled in size.

STEP 7

Bake the rolls for 22 minutes then allow to cool on a wire rack while. Spread cream cheese icing over slightly warm rolls.
